As a once and future Oregonian, I just feel I need to draw your attention to Darlene Hooley's appearance on the 18th of Colbert's 433-part series, Better Know a District. I voted for her, once upon a time.

I finally got around to watching that clip and you know how in the beginning they show a picture of Salem? I took that picture and it is the one that is on the City of Salem of homepage! I took it for a planning project I was working on from the top of the parking garage on liberty. Pretty cool that a picture I took ended up on a nationally televised show!

love the better know a district. but then again, i'm the junkie who watches comedy central for news... not all news, but i watch it more regularly than the stuff pushed over as news.
